Split scutes or also known as mis-scutes is when the tortoise hatches out with a unique scute pattern. It doesn’t effect the tortoise. It’s purely a cosmetic anomaly.
Pardalis Pardalis are the largest of the 2 leopard tortoises. They’re also referred to as the South African giant leopard tortoises. They get bigger than Pardalis Babcocki’s. Adult size is 16-24+ inches.
Eating on grasses from our Grazing Grassland seed mix and plants we grow from our broadleaf and flower seed mix. As well as, mixed leafy green vegetables, cactus, and occasionally some Mazuri tortoise diet.
